Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Thunder Bay, Ontario, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with pets daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and vet transport for sick animals.
- Execute merchandising tasks like product staging, facing, filling, price changes, and promotional setups.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Uphold safety standards, store cleanliness, and assist across departments including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and are available evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment with pet hair.
