Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in our Toronto, Ontario store, you'll be the friendly face for pet parents, delivering outstanding customer experiences while caring for our live pets. This entry-level role combines sales, pet care, and store operations in a dynamic pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, product recovery, and stocking.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues immediately.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and love animals. Ideal candidates are flexible, team-oriented, and committed to our values.

Physical Demands & Environment

Expect moderate noise, pet hair, wet areas, and animal handling. Must stoop, kneel, reach, and lift heavy items.
