Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) at PetSmart in Troy, MI, you'll engage pet parents and pets while upholding our vision of exceptional care. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-ups.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, support price changes, stage products, face/fill/recover shelves.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; handle sick pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/climb, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception required.
