Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store operations with opportunities to shine in customer service and pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings questions online order prep and register support
- Provide direct care for birds reptiles fish small animals including feeding cleaning and vet-directed meds
- Execute merchandising tasks like product staging facing filling recovery and promotional pricing
- Promote events adoptions Treats enrollment and charity drives
- Ensure safety for associates pets and customers responding swiftly to health issues
Physical Demands
Expect standing walking lifting up to 50lbs team-lifting 100lbs+ climbing ladders and exposure to pets noise and wet areas. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience needed but pet passion helps. Must have strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina for dynamic retail-pet environment.
