Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer engagement, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, online, phone, and at checkout; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet emergencies, ensure safe environments, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work flexible hours (evenings/weekends/holidays). Comfort with animals, moderate noise, wet environments, and physical demands essential. Depth perception and team spirit required.
