Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and retail operations with a focus on safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, and product recovery.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
