Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with animals daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and sales.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals including feeding, cleaning, and vet transport.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, price changes, and sales floor standards.
- Promote events, recommend products/services/pets, and ensure safety for all.
- Support store operations across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment.
