Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and retail operations in a fun, pet-filled atmosphere. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is a plus! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and thrive in a lively environment with animals, moderate noise, and occasional wet conditions. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items essential.
