Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order fulfillment, and sales recommendations.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
- Uphold cleanliness, recover merchandise, stage products, and support pricing/promotions.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal handling in a moderate-noise, pet-filled environment.
