Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Washington, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver outstanding service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store areas, including services, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and pets while ensuring a safe environment.
- Respond to sick/injured pets and maintain total store cleanliness.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
