Role Overview

As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in our Waterloo, Ontario store, you'll be the friendly face for pet parents, delivering outstanding service while caring for our live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet experience, and pathways to leadership. Stand, lift, and thrive in a dynamic environment with animals, customers, and team support.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
• Provide expert care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
• Keep the store spotless, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Sell merchandise/services, ensure safety, and respond immediately to pet health issues, including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet lovers welcome! Bring strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, climbing, bending). Comfort with live animals, moderate noise, and pet hair essential. Depth perception and teamwork round out the fit.
