Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and daily joy in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and sales.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets immediately.
- Support all store areas, uphold cleanliness, and follow company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment with composure.
