Role Overview

As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in West Vancouver, BC, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and career pathing in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and assist across all store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/pet hair essential.
