Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience, ensure store pet health and safety, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers dynamic variety—from customer interactions to hands-on pet care—in a fun, pet-filled retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Sell merchandise/services, support all store areas, and embody our culture of Belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team-lifting for 100+ lbs needed.
