Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Whitby, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care. Enjoy flexibility across store areas including services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish.
- Maintain cleanliness, handle price changes, stage products, face/fill shelves.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats.
- Ensure safety; respond to sick pets, administer vet-directed meds, create safe environments.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
