Role Overview
The Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) is the heart of our store, delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring pet health, safety, and store excellence. This full-time role involves direct pet care, sales, merchandising, and creating joyful experiences for pet parents in Willow Grove, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues.
- Execute merchandising tasks: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Sell products, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and are flexible with evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items needed.
