Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Winnipeg, Manitoba store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, uphold our vision of exceptional care, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store areas, including services, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
• Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed medications; respond to sick/injured pets.
• Drive sales by recommending merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain store: cleanliness, price changes, merchandising, stocking, recovery to sales floor standards.
• Ensure safe environment for associates, pets, and customers; assist across departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, animal handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items required.
