Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-loving atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and pet health; transport sick pets to vet as needed.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to boost sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Exposure to moderate noise, pet hair, and wet areas common.
