Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in York PA you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences uphold pet safety and maintain store standards. This entry-level role involves customer engagement pet care merchandising and store operations in a dynamic fast-paced environment with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person phone register and online order fulfillment
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding watering cleaning habitats and vet-directed meds
- Execute merchandising: face fill recover products price changes and sales floor plans
- Sell merchandise services live pets and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment
- Maintain cleanliness safety and respond immediately to sick/injured pets
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet lovers thrive here. Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina (lift 50lbs+ climb stoop handle animals). Exposed to pet hair noise and wet areas; depth perception essential.
