Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and the joy of working with animals daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and a secure environment for all.
- Assist across departments as needed, reacting swiftly to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
