Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hands-on pet interaction and customer service focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets while assisting across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs, climbing ladders, handling animals). Passion for pets is essential in our moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
