Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote merchandise/services/live pets.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment; assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we train you! Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, handling animals). Specific vision for depth perception needed; exposure to pet hair, noise, and wet environments common.
