Role Overview
Our part-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences while maintaining store standards and caring for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and a dynamic retail environment in a pet-loving community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, online, and at checkout; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide daily care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for pets/customers, and respond to pet health issues.
- Support all store areas, including services, while embodying our Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and work flexible shifts. Ideal for animal lovers comfortable with pet hair, noise, and live animal exposure.
