Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Alvin, Texas store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and ensure a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and handle price changes.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets immediately.
- Assist in services areas and prepare online pickup orders.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
