Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Located in Apex, North Carolina, this role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Support all store areas, including services, while upholding company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just bring your pet passion! Must have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing). Comfort with live animals, moderate noise, and pet hair is essential. Specific vision for depth perception needed.
