Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Augusta, Georgia store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and the chance to make a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover sales floor to standards.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
