Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in Avon, Indiana, deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while maintaining store standards and caring for live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and a chance to make a daily impact in a fun, pet-filled workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order fulfillment, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues.
- Execute merchandising tasks: stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization across the store, assisting in services areas as needed.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets with enthusiasm and expertise.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and are available evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
