As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Bakersfield, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist in services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet environments). Flexibility essential.
