Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store safety, handle sick/injured pets, and maintain cleanliness standards.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication, flexibility under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing). Comfort handling live animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
