Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in Bastrop, Texas, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role is perfect for animal lovers with flexible schedules, involving customer engagement, pet care, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service to pet parents in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
