Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickups.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety; respond to sick pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and pet passion. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
