Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickups.
- Promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions, and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a fast-paced setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
