Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Beaufort, SC, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, ideal for animal lovers eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety by monitoring pets, responding to illnesses, and maintaining cleanliness amid pet hair and moderate noise.
- Collaborate across store areas, including services, while upholding company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Bring strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand/walk extensively).
