Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Support various store areas as needed, following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we train you! Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing). Love pets? Exposure to live animals, pet hair, and moderate noise is part of the fun.
