Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, this entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers seeking rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and vet transport if needed.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote events, recommend products/services/live pets, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and contribute to our inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
