Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) at our Bolton store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role supports sales, pet health, and operations, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending products, services, live pets, and promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, stocking, and recovery.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
