Role Overview
Our part-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, uphold store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to grow in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to illnesses.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Sell merchandise/services/pets, ensure safety, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a pet passion! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
