Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide pet healthcare for store animals: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and recommend merchandise/services/live pets.
- Promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment; ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Handle sick/injured pets, administer vet-directed medications, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, with physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Flexibility and composure are essential.
