Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) at PetSmart in Brandon, FL, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and the chance to make a daily impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain total store cleanliness.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek enthusiastic individuals with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+). Passion for pets and comfort in animal handling environments a plus.
