Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll be the friendly face welcoming pet parents and their furry, feathered, or finned friends. This entry-level role combines customer service, pet care, and retail operations to deliver exceptional experiences. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in our dynamic store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, answering questions and preparing orders.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain pristine store standards: facing products, recovering shelves, staging merchandise, and supporting price changes/promotions.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
• Prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is a plus! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace our culture of belonging. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is part of the fun.
