Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Brighton, Colorado store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on pet interaction while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and ability to stay composed under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing ladders, and working in pet-heavy environments with moderate noise.
