Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision for pet care. Share in store maintenance, cleanliness, and direct pet care while promoting our services and events. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, facing/filling products, price changes.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote adoption events, Treats enrollment, charities.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is a plus! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, animal exposure), and embrace teamwork. Ideal for flexible schedules and those eager to learn pet retail.
