Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Burien, Washington, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to advancement in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals). Vision for depth perception needed; reasonable accommodations available.
