Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Burlington, Washington, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and a fun environment surrounded by animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and handle sick/injured pets promptly.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and animal handling comfort essential.
