Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Calgary, Alberta store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new inventory, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
• Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items essential.
