Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Carmichael, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while working flexibly evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick pets, assist all store areas.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level welcome! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, pet passion. No prior experience required—training provided.
