Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Carolina, Puerto Rico, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment while ensuring safety.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/wet conditions essential.
