Role Overview
Our part-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences uphold store standards and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility perfect for animal lovers eager to contribute to a clean safe vibrant store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person online phone and at register; greet answer questions prepare pickups.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed water clean habitats for birds reptiles fish small animals; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Maintain cleanliness face/fill products execute price changes/promotions stage merchandise.
- Sell recommend products services live pets; promote events like adoptions Treats charity.
- Ensure safety for associates pets customers; assist across store including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet passion helps! Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50lbs+ (team lift 100lbs+) stand/walk climb stoop handle animals in moderate-noise wet pet-hair environments.
