Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Chicago, IL, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, cleanliness, and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50lbs frequently (team lift 100lbs), handle pets in moderate noise with pet hair exposure. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online. Greet customers, prepare online pickups, care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish. Clean habitats, maintain store standards, stock products, execute pricing, sell merchandise/services/pets, promote events, ensure safety, and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina. Pet care passion a plus; training provided.
