Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Chilliwack, BC store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent experience in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-up.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish.
- Maintain cleanliness, handle price changes, stock and recover merchandise.
- Recommend/sell products, services, live pets; administer vet-directed medications.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats; ensure safe environment and respond to sick pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—passion for pets is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs+, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Reasonable accommodations available.
